Founded in 2022, the company is a spin-off from the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems. eversyn specializes in developing biosynthesis technology to produce nucleotide sugars and high-value oligosaccharides, with applications in nutrition and pharmaceuticals. eversyn's proprietary technology utilizes enzymatic cascades to produce high-value glycans more efficiently and cost-effectively. This innovative approach positions the company at the forefront of advancements in glycotechnology, particularly in the fields of human milk oligosaccharides and glycosylation of therapeutic proteins.

Tasks

  • Prepare media, buffers, and reagents for experiments
  • Support routine lab maintenance, including cleaning and sterilization of equipment
  • Work with bioreactors and other downstream process techniques
  • Conduct basic analytical procedures (e.g., spectrophotometry, HPLC)
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers on active research and development projects
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized laboratory records and documentation
  • Follow safety and quality protocols in all lab activities

Profile

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented working student to support our bioprocessing team in laboratory operations. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional biotech setting and is ideal for students pursuing degrees in biotechnology, bioengineering, biochemistry, or related fields.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in a relevant scientific or engineering degree program (e.g., biotechnology, biochemistry, bioengineering)
  • Basic understanding of microbiology, biochemistry, or bioprocessing
  • Prior hands-on lab experience (academic or industry) is a plus
  • Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Fluency in English communication is required. German is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Enthusiastic about laboratory work and contributing to an industry-focused scientific environment
